Con la seguridad vial como principal preocupaci\u00f3n, y en un af\u00e1n por ofrecer soluciones a los conductores que permitan permanecer conectados pero sin perder de vista la carretera, la empresa estadounidense Navdy ha puesto a la venta un dispositivo \u2018head-up display\u00b4 (HUD) que permite al conductor consultar e interactuar con su smartphone sin necesidad de soltar el volante ni apartar la vista de la carretera. La pantalla flotante se sit\u00faa encima del salpicadero a trav\u00e9s del cual se pueden consultar los mensajes y llamadas, la m\u00fasica, el navegador o la informaci\u00f3n del tr\u00e1fico, entre otras muchas funcionalidades.<\/p>\n

El dispositivo consta de una pantalla transparente de 7 pulgadas y una peque\u00f1a \u2018rueda\u2019 selectora que se instala en el volante. Conectado al veh\u00edculo a trav\u00e9s del puerto OBD-II o por bluetooth al terminal m\u00f3vil, muestra la velocidad a la que se circula y permite gestionar algunas aplicaciones del tel\u00e9fono.
\nAdem\u00e1s, Navdy ha equipado su artilugio con una c\u00e1mara infrarroja que mira al conductor e interpreta los gestos de la mano para responder o colgar una llamada, por ejemplo. Asimismo, va equipado con un micr\u00f3fono que reconoce \u00f3rdenes de voz y numerosos sensores, aceler\u00f3metros e incluso una br\u00fajula que indican al GPS hacia donde se desplaza el veh\u00edculo.<\/p>\n
